Project Overview
Building on the results of previous research activities, MK Mikro Energia launched a project focused on introducing an innovative moving grate burner designed for industrial applications.
The project aimed to commercialise proprietary research results and transform them into a market-ready product capable of efficiently combusting lower-quality pellets and biomass fuels. The new burner technology addressed a significant challenge faced by many biomass heating systems – maintaining stable and efficient combustion when using fuels with higher ash content and lower quality parameters.
Project Activities
The implementation involved investments in production equipment, technological infrastructure and further engineering development. The project was carried out in cooperation with scientific and research institutions, helping to strengthen the company’s technical expertise and innovation potential.
The new industrial burners were developed for applications ranging from 100 kW to 500 kW, making them suitable for commercial, municipal and industrial heating installations.
Project Outcomes
The successful completion of the project enabled MK Mikro Energia to introduce a new product line and enter new market segments. The moving grate technology later became one of the foundations for the company’s self-cleaning combustion systems and advanced biomass burners.
