Project Overview
This project represented a significant milestone in the commercialisation of MK Mikro Energia’s research and development achievements. Its objective was to launch full-scale production of advanced biomass burners equipped with moving grate technology and designed for the efficient combustion of lower-quality pellets, including agropellets.
The project responded to increasing market demand for more flexible and cost-effective biomass heating solutions capable of operating with a broader range of fuels.
Technological Development
The moving grate system improved fuel combustion efficiency, enhanced operational reliability and reduced maintenance requirements. The technology enabled effective handling of fuels that traditionally caused difficulties in conventional pellet burners due to their higher ash content and varying quality.
The project transformed research results into commercially available products, strengthening the company’s position within the renewable energy sector.
Project Outcomes
The implementation of moving grate technology significantly expanded MK Mikro Energia’s product portfolio and increased the company’s manufacturing capacity.
The project also laid the groundwork for future innovations, including self-cleaning grate systems, hybrid burners and dual-fuel combustion technologies that later became key competitive advantages of the company.
